1. Tomorrow is the last work day before the weekend
2. I get to leave work at 5 pm to meet my parents coming through Dubai Airport on their way Kuala Lampur
3. It's Halloween weekend
4. November begins Sunday
This week, I have resumed the communication executives duties while she is in Hong Kong for her marriage and written a big proposal that would rake in the dough. I have also been sending out my resumes and cover letters and circulating my info in my network and through people my dad has recommended. Hopefully something comes out of this so I at least have options when deciding whether or not to stay in Dubai. Regardless, I will want to take a break during most, if not all of January, but if duty calls, it calls.
The month of November will be huge with my boss taking on the newly departed Commercial Director's responsibilities, the clarification of what they are offering me, and possible correspondence and feedback from potential employers & colleagues.
I am also about 2/3 of the way through my Dubai adventure and an adventure it has been. In my short 4 months, I have developed my marketing communication skills, developed friendships with coworkers, and also built up a social network which has led to fun weekends. When I put all that in perspective, it's been a great 4 months and I look forward to the next 2, although my 2010 place of employment, my dad's pasta and meatballs, Chipotle & Christmas rank slightly higher on my "most looking forward to list".
